Hey! My name is Emma and I make silver jewellery in Cork, Ireland.
I love to work with organic shapes and textures and my work is often inspired by the natural world around me. A piece of jewellery could be inspired by anything from the rugged coastline of the Wild Atlantic Way to the organic shapes found beneath the sea.
I make a lot of one-of-a-kind pieces using seaglass that I collect on the beaches of West Cork. There is something really special to me about seaglass and that no two pieces are the same. Every piece of seaglass was shaped by time and the tides and each one tells its own story. Wearing one allows you to carry a piece of the Irish coast with you.
Some of my other work includes made to order pieces, often inspired by Irish culture, as well as custom designs. I would love to work with you to make your special piece. If you would like to discuss a custom piece of jewellery send me a message using the contact page.
Sustainability is incredibly important to me and I am continuously trying to reduce my impact on the environment. Each piece is handmade from 100% recycled 925 sterling silver and arrives in plastic free packaging.
I strive to make jewellery that I want to wear everyday. It has to be comfortable, wearable, but never boring. Jewellery that means something, a fragment of our beautiful Irish coastline or a nod to ancient Irish folklore. If this sounds like your cup of tea I would love for you to have a browse through the website and discover all stórmara has to offer.
Gra mór,
Emma
